California Dreamin'

Last week I got to do a little something that I love to do. Travel! I relish in the idea of being a tourist, conquering a new city, a new place, a new locale. I can't sit still for long, working for the "man." My skin litterally crawls when I think of a life sans packed bags, booked plane tickets, and no digital cameras. I would cry a million tears if I lived a life void of one of my favorite loves and past times.
So where was my exciting destination with my lovely bister boo? Well sunny California, San Francisco to be exact! I had a terrific time, doing amazing things, living the life, and loving every drop (of wine that is!). While in San Fran I got to do some incredibly fun things with my best friend that included a little bit of the following:

Seeing Michael Buble live in all his glory...
And of course posing with him on the "red carpet"...
Touring Wine Country...
And making new friends along the way....
Traveling up the biggest stair master of all...
To get to see this incredible view...
Eating this...
And drinking this..Hiking down this iconic street...
Being a tourist...Riding in limos...
And trolleys...
Saying hello to Uncle Jessie, Joey, Michelle, DJ, Danny, Aunt Becky, the twins, Stephanie and Kimmy...
Experiencing China Town...
Seeing Citizen Cope in the legendary Fillmore.

I had an amazing time, did some really great things, got the royal treatment, and spent some much needed time with my bister escaping the stresses of our lives. Great memories and friends alike were made, and in the end all I want to say is whoop, whoop, holler, holler San Francisco!

Sometimes I can't help but think I'm blessed. Of course to some degree we all are incredible blessed, we're given breath in our lungs, food to eat, a warm bed to sleep in, a community of support and love around, and so, so much more. But me? Sometimes I feel like I'm the most blessed.

I am beyond blessed that I have such a loving and caring group of friends, who when I near a breakdown due to my increasingly high stress load, they help left that unbearable weight off my shoulders. I'm talking to you Miss Cameron Mary Ellen! As I came back from a wonderful, relaxing, and joyous vacation to sunny California (did I just give another fun hint to where I was? Oh, darn (; ) I had a "butt load" of work and priorities piled mile high, not to mention what felt like a good swift knock on deaths door.

I seriously doubted how I was going to do it. How I was physically, not to mention emotionally and mentally, get through my crazy week. My sanity was going to be lost for sure. My no's too many. My whines? Endless. But dear friend Cameron, with the truest of servants hearts came to my rescue, held my hand, and coached me through a good length of my mile high lists of tasks.

So today, I salute you Miss Cameron, my beloved and dear friend, for being the picker upper that you are! I thank you for your love and your endless amount of support, you probably will never truly understand the depth of value your friendship means to me. I love you to infinity and back chica de hoy! (And don't forget to comment a response friend ;) I give you full permission. Haha!)

Don't forget to tell the ones you love what a blessing they are in your lives as well!

Do not you dare....

For the past week I've been on a fun and amazing vacation in this beautiful city...
...can you guess where? I'll give you a hint. A childhood phenomenon was set in this fun locale, with a catchy theme song that went a little something like this :AHHH AHHH AHHH AHHHH...Doo Bee Doo Baa Baa DOW. DA DA.

Once I'm able to recoup from my fun adventures I can't wait to share the fun and excitement.

Happy Easter y'all!

On this day, and any day really, I cannot think of nothing more than God's overwhelming love for me, articulated beautifully in this song by John Mark McMillan. Happy Easter y'all!

He is jealous for me,
Loves like a hurricane, I am a tree,
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy.
When all of a sudden,
I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,
And I realise just how beautiful You are,
And how great Your affections are for me.

And oh, how He loves us so,
Oh how He loves us,
How He loves us all

He loves us..

We are His portion and He is our prize,
Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes,
If grace is an ocean, we’re all sinking.
So Heaven meets earth like a sloppy wet kiss,
And my heart turns violently inside of my chest,
I don’t have time to maintain these regrets,
When I think about, the way…

He loves us:)

Food for thought on this rainy Monday...

I recently saw this posted on a friend's facebook page, and was dumbfounded by how simple and true it is...

Encouraging, no?

Ps: Any encouraging words on how to post youtube videos that, well, aren't chopped off?

Glitz, glamour, and the red carpet...

Are you ready for the biggest event of the year? I've got my 7 year old prom dress on, the bump it in my hair, a bag of kettle corn handy, and my eyes glued to the boob tube for my favorite night of the year...are you ready for this jelly?I can't wait to come back and talk about my favorite moments from the evening, the glamorous dresses (oo la la) and the awe and wonder of the Academy Awards.
